What documents do I need to rent a vehicle?
To rent a bike or scooter, you need to present:
- A valid Original Driving License (DL).
- A valid Government Photo ID (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, or Passport).
- Proof of local address or travel itinerary (for outstation travelers).
Is there a minimum age requirement?
Yes, the rider must be at least 18 years old (21 years old for high-capacity/touring motorcycles) with a valid driver’s license.
Booking & Security Deposit
Is a security deposit required?
Yes, a fully refundable security deposit is required at the time of vehicle pickup. The amount depends on the bike model and duration. The deposit is refunded immediately upon vehicle return, provided there are no damages or unpaid penalties.
How do I book a bike with Himalayan Xplorer?
You can easily book through our website, send us a message on WhatsApp, or call our team directly. Advance booking is recommended during peak travel seasons.
Is fuel included in the rental cost?
No, vehicles are provided with sufficient fuel to reach the nearest fuel station. You are expected to return the vehicle with the same fuel level as received.
Pickup and Drop
Do you offer doorstep or station delivery?
Yes! We provide pickup and drop-off services at major transit points (such as NJP Railway Station, Bagdogra Airport, or your hotel) upon request and availability.
Can I extend my rental period during the trip?
Yes, extensions are subject to vehicle availability. Please inform us at least 6–12 hours before your scheduled return time to extend your booking seamlessly.
What happens if I return the vehicle late?
A grace period of 30 minutes is allowed. Late returns beyond this window will incur additional hourly or full-day charges depending on delay duration.
Travel Safety and Support
Do you provide helmets?
Yes, one complimentary ISI-certified helmet is included with every rental. A second helmet for the pillion rider is available upon request for a nominal fee.
Are your bikes allowed for trips to Darjeeling, Sikkim, and Bhutan?
Yes, our well-maintained fleet is suited for mountain riding and outstation travel. Please inform us of your route during booking so we can guide you on permit requirements where applicable.
What should I do in case of a breakdown or emergency?
We offer roadside assistance and phone support for technical issues. Contact our hotline immediately, and our team will guide you or arrange support depending on your location.
Cancellation and Refunds
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made 24 hours prior to pickup are eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of pickup may incur a minimal cancellation fee.
